Ensuring accounting records are completed, accurate and compliant with applicable accounting and tax standards.
Calculate and prepare VAT declarations on monthly and quarterly basis, as applicable.
Prepare and submit VAT Recapitulative Statements for intra-EU transactions, where applicable.
Calculate and prepare withholding tax declarations monthly, calculate and declare corporation tax instalments during the year.
Prepare and submit the year-end tax file IES.
Prepare cash flow files when applicable.
Prepare and submit the COPE (cash movements outside Portugal) file and Instrat file (intra-EU transaction), where applicable.
Prepare communication of inventories on an annual basis, communicating SAFT invoice files to the tax authorities monthly.
Calculate and prepare the declaration of tax benefits annually.
Responsible for compiling, preparing and maintaining the annual tax folder, including required forms and supporting documentation. Where applicable, prepare and maintain the Transfer Pricing documentation.
Act as the responsible accountant for the government support applications, including development, submission and monitoring.
Meet with clients quarterly to present the accounts per period and make the necessary adjustments.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures on the above responsibilities.
Complete ad-hoc projects, as required.

Professional Qualifications and Minimum Relevant Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting and tax reporting;
Professional accountant qualification recognised in Portugal such as:
Contabilista Certificado (CC)
Registration with the Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados (OCC)
IT Skills
Advanced Excel skills;
Experience with Portuguese tax/accounting software;
General competency in Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook; and
