Fairway's Sustainability Vision

At Fairway, we are committed to embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into our policies, processes, and culture. As an independent and growing business, our sustainability strategy is shaped by our values and driven by our people.

Our sustainability vision and mission are centred around three pillars: our people, our planet, and governance. These pillars form the foundation of our ESG approach, guiding us to create long-term value and deliver meaningful impact for our clients, colleagues, and communities.

We are dedicated to aligning our business practices with these pillars, ensuring our operations positively influence society and the environment while maintaining strong governance, ethical standards, and compliance frameworks.

Our Sustainability Strategy

Our sustainability strategy translates our vision into action and reflects our commitment to responsible business practices across all areas of our operations.

People: We foster a diverse, inclusive, and supportive workplace, enhancing employee well-being, professional development, and engagement with our communities.

Planet: We reduce our environmental impact through sustainable business practices, conservation initiatives, and partnerships that support long-term environmental goals.

Governance: We maintain robust governance and compliance frameworks, ensuring responsible decision-making, transparency, and ethical standards across all areas of our business.

Our approach aligns with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is tailored to the unique context of Jersey and the other jurisdictions in which we operate. We work closely with our clients to provide and advocate sustainable solutions, supporting them in their own ESG journeys.

Environmental

We are committed to reducing our impact on our planet and we have developed an environmental strategy to achieve this. To create long-term difference, we have implemented sustainable business practices and support multiple conservation projects.

  • We have implemented sustainable office and business practices such as energy-saving measures, digitalisation, recycling and waste management.
  • We have developed environmental initiatives and partnerships with local charities, supporting their work through fundraising and our staff volunteering efforts.
  • We are committed to reducing our environmental impact by increasing our environmental targets of carbon emissions, energy consumption and waste. Our sustainability plan will help us to track our efforts and set future targets.

Social Responsibility

We recognise our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and actively contribute to our communities through long-standing partnerships, fundraising, and volunteering. Our social strategy for our community and our people is built around three key objectives:

Fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace

We create an environment where all employees feel valued and have equal opportunities to thrive. We celebrate our employees, through schemes such as our IMPACT employee of the month award to recognise hard-work and performance. 

Enhancing employee well-being and professional development

We support mental and physical health through wellness programmes and health and wellbeing benefits such as private medical insurance and an annual wellbeing allowance. We are committed to investing in our people by offering training and development opportunities including our mentoring programme 'The Promise Programme'.

Strengthening community engagement and supporting our local initiatives

We encourage employee participation in community service and partner with local organisations for mutual benefit.
