1. What do you see as the most important thing about your job?

There are many facets to my role, but ultimately it comes down to building trust and delivering a positive client experience. Demonstrating integrity, being dependable and helping clients navigate complex situations with confidence are all fundamental to what we do.

2. What advice would you give to your younger self?

Have more confidence in yourself. Early in my career I often underestimated my own abilities, whereas experience has taught me that backing yourself and embracing opportunities can make all the difference.

3. What motivates you most about your work?

No two days are ever the same, which is something I really enjoy. I am motivated by solving complex problems, helping clients achieve positive outcomes and continuously learning from the varied challenges that come with the role.

4. What is the best film of all time?

Primal Fear. The twists and turns keep you guessing right until the end, and it remains one of the most memorable films I have watched.

5. What is one work-related goal you would like to achieve in the next five years?

While retirement may occasionally sound appealing, my focus is on helping to develop and mentor the next generation of leaders, passing on knowledge and experience to support their future success.

6. Who has been your biggest role model in the industry?

I have been fortunate to work with a number of inspiring people throughout my career. One former Managing Director stands out in particular for their leadership, professionalism and ability to bring out the best in those around them.

7. What is one important skill that you think everyone should have?

Communication. Whether with clients, colleagues or advisers, the ability to communicate clearly, listen effectively and build understanding is invaluable.

8. Where has been your favourite holiday destination and why?

The Maldives. The natural beauty is incredible, the diving is world class and it offers the perfect opportunity to switch off and completely relax.

9. What is the most significant trend in your practice today?

The increasing use of technology and AI to improve efficiency and enhance client service. While personal relationships remain at the heart of the industry, technology is allowing professionals to spend more time providing strategic advice and less time on routine administration.

10. What would you be doing if you weren't in this profession?

I'd probably be a marine biologist. I've always loved the ocean, diving and wildlife, so a career working with marine life would have been a natural fit.
