What is ISO27001?
The ISO 27001 framework is a set of requirements for defining, implementing, operating, and improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS), and is the leading standard recognised by the ISO for information security.
It is published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), in partnership with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Both are leading international organisations that develop international standards.
As per ISO 27001 definition, the basic goal of an Information Security Management System is to protect three aspects of information, confidentiality, integrity and availability.
