What a week for team Jersey, the half iron man athletes that went to Aix en Province did us proud! With a contingent of 18 athletes Jersey were the second largest team to have been entered into the gruelling race of 1900m swim, 90k bike followed by a 13m run. With a win for Jo Gorrod, 3rd for Della Roderick, 6th for Nick Gorrod, and amazing times from Nick Thorne, Fintan Kennedy both under 5 hours along with Richard Worh, Chris Stephens, and many others, They have qualified for Barcelona in 2018 which is a wonderful achievement.
20 juniors were also in Guernsey for their junior triathlon a great opportunity for the kids to race off island and for Max it was a nice opportunity to get to know the rest of the athletes.

Team Jersey ( special thank you to the organisers Ian Lucas, John & Carly Sylvester, Andy & Alex Ruddy)
In order to get my training session in I was out in the bike at 5.20am for a three hour hill set followed by a 20 minute run. Beautiful morning it was wonderful to be out.
Team Fairway are also continuing to win new business and like the triathletes they are working together and getting the results they deserve.
This week I had two days in London one at the Jersey Finance ("JFL") Conference Private Wealth which was well attended. JFL continue to enhance the Jersey brand. I was on the turbo and out running again at 5 am before my flight to London, the following day I attempted to do some interval training up and down Brick Lane!
This Sunday we have the duathlon to look forward to run, bike, run, bike, run, bike, run, 2k, 8k each leg- can't wait!!
