Hello and welcome to the first installment in a change to Louise's usual blog.
Justine Wilkinson, Director, has swapped high heels for hiking boots as she treks her way along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. Check back here during the following week to get updates on her progress:
"So the journey has begun and I’m leaving the slightly wet Jersey on the redeye bound for Gatwick. The bag packing and repacking last night was fun (!) as the porters will only carry 7.5kg per person including a sleeping bag and mat. Believe me, that doesn’t leave much for essentials and trekking clothes especially given the lower temperatures in Lima and Cusco. The excitement is starting to kick in now as Jersey is left behind and I can’t wait to start this experience of a lifetime. That said, in the back of my head I’m already thinking about my next challenge ... Everest base camp is top of the list so far. Off to Lima!"
